THE BENWAHS are a Birmingham UK based Panda Punk band.
The Benwahs began life in London in 2007 but now reside in Birmingham with an all Brummie line up.
The Benwahs have to date gigged London and Birmingham extensively, appeared on Hollyoaks playing the SU:BAR, been featured in numerous London papers, recorded with James Lewis; producer of Kaiser Chiefs, Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys. The Benwahs are most recently being played on American and Canadian punk radio stations, British heavy metal station Basement Sound (it's so hot right now!) and local station BBC West Midlands.
The Benwahs coined their own genre of Panda Punk, which translates as 70’s British punk with a twist of pop!
The Benwahs released their debut ep 'Come To Mine' in October 2009 through Ditto Music. 'Come To Mine' can be found on all good download and streaming sites such as iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and We7.
